I'm a sucker for good vocals and with lyrics like these, it's like icing on top of a giant cookie cake on top of ice cream. Especially enjoyed 2:40-2:50 with the muffled sounding instrument in the background. Actually, I especially enjoyed everything.

You could say that I really "dig" this song. ha. Ha. HA. *is shot for bad pun*

Keep up the great work! I'll be watching O3O

Wow! What a wonderful symbiosis indeed! I loved the intro bit with all the gritty static and natural buildup. The overall feeling it gave me was 'magical,' less in the whole "wingardium leviosa" cliche way and more of the more mother-nature-infused way (a very good thing). Also, I detected a hint of suspense. Only problems I had with it were the length, and also that I would've loved to hear more of the sounds in the beginning. Thanks for the unique experience! Instant favorite, I'll be watching you (in a totally non creepy way)
...
(ok no promises on the non-creepiness, but be assured that I will watch you)

ForgottenDawn responds:

Hmm, thank you :) That's quite an interesting mix of words you used. Don't worry, I don't mind people watching over this project, for they're indeed a part of it but not everything that drives its vision. About the length, I personally think it's just right, for I didn't want to stretch an atmosphere that was already established for too long and I opted for a more dynamic approach.
Thanks for your insight,

My thoughts from start to finish:

"An experimental song with the same name as a Beetle's tune? Is it a cover? 'click' Well the guitar is different so I guess it's not a cover... 'vocals start' Oh. Wow. Amazing. This voice is awesome! 'continues listening' The guitar feels a little chaotic, but it actually kinda blends. 'hearing holding steady' Yup. Still diggin' those vocals, and though the lyrics aren't the most creative in the whole world, still enjoyable! 'finishes song' Yup, this is a favorite! I'll be watching you 'reads name for first time' Erick717!"

True story.

EricK717 responds:

Thank you for your response. Yes I'm happy you like my song. Thanks for being a true fan. EricK717.

I lurve this song! It started off super creepy and then turned a little sad in the middle (which is not at all a bad thing). I love the melody at 2:14 and the organ parts (so pretty much the whole thing haha). Definitely nailed the ambiance!

A little off topic, but I honestly have no idea how I found this song. I swear that I just woke up from an unfortunate evening nap at my desk, and it was playing already. Like wtf is my computer haunted? Did someone hax me? Do I sleep-browse through Newgrounds or something? (Don't know why you'd care, but I just wanted to tell someone because it really freaked me out)

Anyways, I'm glad that I found this because I love the song! Keep up the good work, and I hope to see more from you in the future! I'm off to explore the rest of your stuff! Have a good day! (>w<)/

TaintedLogic responds:

Thanks so much for the review! I LOVE unexpected reviews! :D I'm glad you liked the melodies and organ parts. Hopefully I'll be able to make more atmospheric tracks soon. Haha, that's really creepy how it just started playing like that! XD It has a mind of its own... >:D I really appreciate all the positive feedback, though! Thanks again! ;D I'll definitely have more time to post tracks because I'm out of school for the summer now. ^^

This was quite the fun little song, I enjoyed it! I especially liked the natural sound of the guitar. One of the things I noticed was that some of the more emphasized notes were a bit jarring in comparison to the rest of the melody (like at ~ :35). Maybe you could decrease their volume by just a hair, so they can blend better? Or maybe I'm just picky haha. Anyways, my favorite section of the song was probably 1:20-1:40, especially when the small bits of harmonica/accordion(?) and organ were introduced. Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing more of your stuff in the future (^3^)

thanks a bunch man! i love feedback :)

I wasn't sure about a trance song with winds, but you pulled it off very well. The main line is interesting without being over-complicated and muddy. I especially enjoyed the buildup to ~1:40. The only thing that I wasn't quite sure about was the fadeout near the end. For some reason, I didn't feel like it blended quite as well as it could've (though that could just be me being picky haha). Overall, you created quite the lovely song, and I look forward to more!

kylermannn responds:

Thanks for the legit review! I know what you mean by the fadeout not blending, I couldnt really figure out what I wanted to do there so I kinda just threw some stuff together (I'm still learning haha), but I'm glad you liked it :D

You did a good job setting a very peaceful atmosphere in this piece. It gave me a good, soft feeling (that makes sense, right?). The only problem I had with it was that it didn't really go anywhere or do anything, and even though that means that it didn't really make a mistake, it also didn't really make an IMPACT. All in all, though, you made a very charming composition! Hope to see you return to the whole "music thing" again!

Indeed, this song does sound very nice! I really enjoy simple songs, and I thought that the plucked strings were a good touch. If I were to describe the feeling it gave me in one word I'd say "cute" or maybe "bacon" (basically the same thing). Keep up the good work!

WingoWinston responds:

Cheers. This song is definitely bacon.

Lovely. For me, it was really well-infused with a sense of deep thought (if that makes any sense haha). It gave me the feeling of being a small part of something... more. Not very many artists can make emotions like that (for me, at least).
Thanks for the feels, man!
